Thank you for taking time to view our web page. Liberty Baptist Church was founded in January of 2005. Our mission is to reach out to all people of Central Iowa with the gospel of Jesus Christ irrespective of culture or background.

It is also our vision to go beyond our local region to regions beyond in an effort to reach the world for Christ. God has richly blessed this ministry in the short time since it’s founding. We have seen many saved, many baptized, and many new members added to the church.

In an effort to reach out to other regions of the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we donated $12,000 to build our sister church, the Liberty Baptist church of Wiwili, Nicaragua so that this body of believers can have adequate facilities to reach their region with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are also sponsoring children in Central America so that they can have adequate food and clothing as well as the ability to go to school and receive an education.

After building the Liberty Baptist church of Wiwili, Nicaragua we were soon blessed with the ability to purchase prime real estate land to build our own church and if it is God's will to provide, we will build our own church. Until then we are happy to rent month to month the church in which we are now blessed to be using and will continue to walk by faith that God will provide for all our needs.  

As we continued to walk by faith we trusted God to answer our prayers for a new permanent facility since we soon outgrew the facility on Center Street.  Soon we had the money needed to pay cash for the former Grace United Methodist Church building.  God has blessed us immensely above all that we could think or ask! On October 1, 2009 we had a ribbon cutting ceremony to dedicate our new facilities on 9 North 5th Avenue in Marshalltown.
